I often look to retail stores for knitting inspiration. Last year, I designed my own Toast Wrap based on a cowl in the Toast UK catalog. These are the items that I'd like to reproduce this year. As always, I love anything with fairisle/colorwork or cables. I would also love a nice, soft garter stitch scarf.

Yes, I agree. I can make most of these for under $25. Of course, I usually substitute cotton or merino wool for cashmere, but that's what I prefer anyway.
I always find that the quality of things almost never matches the price. I'm sure your creations will be much nicer than these. :]
